Volunteers at Oldroyd’s Corner provide invaluable with keeping the garden looking great. This is an opportunity to meet like-minded people and contribute to your health and wellbeing!

 

What will I be doing?
After a discussion about your skills with Paul, the Garden Manager, you may be:

  • Pruning, deadheading and weeding
  • Planting out vegetables and other plants, and sowing seeds
  • Contributing to the garden’s general upkeep – painting, DIY, erecting plant supports etc.
  • Interacting with garden visitors
  • Watering and feeding

When can I volunteer?
Volunteer Day is on a Friday, from 9am until 4pm. To gain the most from the opportunity, 3-4 hours would be suggested.

You will enjoy volunteering here if:

  • You have an interest in gardening, planting and wildlife
  • You want to meet like-minded individuals
  • You would like to learn more about horticulture
  • You like biscuits!!
